Stewed apple chia seed porridge- high fibre, high protein and blood sugar stabilising

Ingredients


  • 40g rolled oats

  • 10g chia seeds

  • 5g flax seeds

  • A few drops of my protein flav drops- zero calorie sweetner - no an AD I just like them


  • 120g gala apple - skin on for fibre

  • 1tsp cinnamon

  • 1 x tbsp water


  • 100g Fage 0% fat or supermarket equivalent- this adds protein!


Method


Cut up apple into little chunks- pop in a bowl. Add a tbsp water and cinnamon. Microwave for 3 minutes.


Meanwhile- In another bowl add oats and cover with water- about a cm over oats. When apples are done and cooling microwave oats for 1 minute. Add more water if required.


Add chia seeds and microwave for a further 30 seconds.


Once your oats are cooked to your liking add flaxseed, yogurt and flav drops to sweeten.

Top with your stewed apples and the juices and enjoy!
