Super Cheesy Chicken Pesto Pasta- slow cooker

Super easy peasy to make and sooo delish! Comfort food that’s calorie friendly!

553 calories per portion (recipe serves 3)

ingredients
240g macaroni pasta (dried weight)
200g chicken breast- cut into chunks
1 onion (60g) finely diced
40g reduced green pesto - I used Aldi brand
40g parmigiano (powdered Parmesan not hard)
30g grated half fat mature cheese (Asda)
150g philidelphia lightest cream cheese
200ml skimmed milk (red milk)
10g garlic puree
1tsp dried basil
1 reduced salt chicken stock cube + 250ml water
60g frozen peas
Method
Cut up the chicken breast into chunks and dice onion then add to the slow cooker along with the pesto, parmesan, cream cheese, skimmed milk, garlic puree, and basil.
Cook on high for 1.5 hours.
Next add in the dried pasta along with the stock, cook with the lid off for around 30 minutes until the pasta is cooked and liquid is absorbed- add more water if needed!
Add in some frozen peas and stir together
Finally stir in the grated half fat mature cheese until melted, season with salt and pepper and serve!
